A Surrendering Ship

Image
A Surrendering Ship   My eyes fixed to the receding ocean in all its glory it sends the beaming sun away. Reflecting with a purity of golden orange. My skin, kissed by the fluttering winds as I sit at ebb of the waves. Casting each of my thoughts to the morning horizon.  Fleeting my heart becomes, destitution begins its journey from my heart, to my mind. I feel myself succumbing to emptiness. The forbidden fruit of surrender, surrounded by lush fields of green, as butterflies of pearl white flood the summer air.  I feel weak, like a rotting tree, collapsing to the bitter seasons of change. I grip the sand with both hands, squeezing with intensity. I lift my hands and look to them, the sand falling from my compressing grip.   Tumbling to where they started, where they came from. Never to move, unless forced by nature. I think, am I but these grains of sand? Moved only by the ever uncertain cosmos. I feel as if I am, for nothing seems to ha...

No Dream Left to The Trap Of Fear

Image
No Dream Left to The Trap Of Fear  Here, beneath this shadow of this tree she finds solace. Its branches bare as fall sets in, as the cold air arrests her lungs with a strange delight. Bird's sing with gentle chirps as she looks upon the view before her. A thousand feet scurry from one block to the next. Her heart quivering in fear for what is to come next of this unfortunate step. But her smile remains, strong, and unchanged. Her body is filled with peace, though her mind wishes to flood with anxiety. And anxiety, which she feels affectionately. For she knows wholly the tax these scurrying hundreds pay. As it burdens the air as they hurry with bland faces to meet the ticking of a clock, rushing with animosity for another's dream. Exchanging their soul for another's time. Waiting with each passing day as the hours add up to show value of their soul. And in this unpleasant view and the distilling of anxiety in the air. She closes her eyes and begins to weep. ...

We Have Forgotten Our Warriors

Image
We Have Forgotten Our Warriors  No longer do we praise the warrior like that in the days of the knight. No longer do we sit by our bedside and pray for the warrior as he dawns his armor for war. No longer do we weep in the destruction of man and the blood that spills upon sands.  Too many preach of the warrior as if their existence is futile in the eyes of change. That bringing weapon against evil is no way to live. But they do not see the tyranny of evil, the cumbersome loses and poison they bring.  Too many have not felt the heat of war, the anger of evil.  Too many have not seen the vision of hell upon earth. The screaming, the dying, the forgotten. The innocent spent as mere pawns to keep a regime thriving like jungles beneath rain.  Too many have not seen the tears of families, wives, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, upon the death their warrior.  Few have felt the burden of the constant eye to stay alive. To wonder if th...

The World Has Fallen Today

Image
The World Has Fallen Today  The world fell apart this morning, the music that once played upon my heart has grown silent. The world is still, but I am moving. I watch with sympathy and tears as this world tears apart. I see flowers strangled by violent hands from merely having petals of different shades. I see tongues twist from the hardest soils only to poison the innocent. I feel myself floating, lost in this chaos as I struggle to lend a hand. As I praise the goodness I see. As I spread kind words to those around me and stand against the corruption of heart. I praise the goodness with prayer, with love, with an open heart and a blade. A blade set to cut the rotted tongues from our soils. I praise goodness as I watch the floods that sweep through villages like visible plague. But I see hands reaching deep into the illness, deep into the disease and pull free the weak. Though their hands may become ill and they may pass from this life to the next. I watch in ho...

Do Not Make Waves Or Prison is Where You Will Stay

Image
Do Not Make Waves Or Prison is Where You Will Stay In a world where everyone is the same there was nothing extraordinary. For no one drove against the normality of society. For those that did, either disappeared or were scolded and tossed to poverty. All things were fair, from salary to food. No family had too much, no family had too little. But no family was without more than four. No one was without employment, CEO's did not exists. Bosses did not exist, hierarchies did not exist. Only a government that "knew" well for its people. If one did no like their job, they were simply transferred till they were happy. If no job could suffice their happiness, they would not speak of this. For three jobs transfer is the max, to be fair for all. And if they did speak up after the third transfer, the consequences are unknowing, for those that have, were never heard of again.  An entire family vanishes if one member cannot feel happiness from their life. Disagreements ar...

A Warrior's Enemy

Image
The distant sun grazes across the horizon like bleeding fruit. The sound of a roaring battle echoes over open fields. Mist glazes the grounds hiding blades of grass that stand ready to drink the sun, as swords clash, arrows cut through the air, and men die. Thousands of warriors fiercely look into the eyes of their enemy. Eyes, filled with fury, pulsing with the vision to bring death upon their opponent. To hollow the earth of another life. With each fury of strikes, heavy breaths bellow in their chests as blood is forced from flesh by steel. Screams of death pierce the air but no warrior has time to listen. For each second, is a moment spent at the foot of deaths throne. The chill air of death slumbers in the bones of these men.  And no man can be saved by the blade of the dead. The sun begins to rise higher in the sky, coating the skies with an orange haze. The mist continues to glaze the ground with a frozen presence. The smell of blood and horror swallows the air. Fierce screa...
